Amphibian aircraft LA-8 was developed by specialists of scientific-production association V«AeroVolgaV» in 2004. In 2005, LA-8 was first presented at the International Aviation and Space Salon V«MAKS-2005V». In 2006, the aircraft exhibited at the exhibition in Gelendzhik. Max 2007 was introduced a modernized version of LA-8 S.
