FS2002 Meljet Boeing 777 Advanced Panel

SOME NOTES FROM JORGE

Thank you for downloading this panel.  I was inspired by the
truly magnificent Meljet 777 (www.meljet.com), and decided
to rework and adapt my previous 767/777 panel specifically for it.

It has a fully functional working overhead,
complete pedestal, TCAS radar, ATC control, 
customized FS2002 GPS,
and much more.

If you are familiar with my advanced boeing panel v2, 
this one will feel very familiar as the same overhead and pedestal 
bitmaps have been adapted for use with a twin engine jet.
All overhead switches work and have sounds.  

There are custom switches specifically programmed 
for the Meljet 777 which toggle the exits,
engine maintenance modes and folding wings.



INSTALL NOTES
-------------
There is no automated install for this panel, as you will choose where you want to install it.
However, there are some components which NEED to be installed for the panel to function properly.

1. Unzip the package to a TEMP directory (the desktop is good).

2. Unzip the "Gauges-Modules-Sounds-Install.zip" archive directly to your FS2002 folder, making sure
that use folder names is checked. This will put all the components into the right places.  

You MUST overwrite/replace any CPT* and RKG* gauges you may already have, as these are the latest versions.  

You may already have some of the sounds included and may want to backup the "whm-sound3.WAV" sound, 
as I have included one that is modified from the original.  If
you already have any of the other sounds with newer modification dates, 
you can keep those instead of replacing.

FSSound.dll and FSUIPC.dll are both the latest versions available as of 11/11/2002, so it is safe to replace any older
versions you may have.  You may want to make a backup of the existing files if you wish,
and/or check to see if there are newer versions available.  The latest version of FSUIPC can always be found at
Pete Dowsons site:  http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

3. Move the "Panel" and "Additional" folders to where you have your Meljet 777 installed.

The additional folder contains screenshots and some documentation for the TCAS radar and fuelstat gauge.




PANEL NOTES
-----------
Many of the components of this panel are very similar to my Boeing 747 panel, so you might want to check

The pedestal and overheads can be accessed with the simicons, or you can use hotspots which are on the panel.
Over the magnetic compass area for the overhead, and the far bottom right of the panel for the pedestal.
The overhead can be closed by clicking on the X on the top right, and the pedestal can be closed
by clicking underneat the fuelstatus gauge (the keypad).

The panel starts up with the RADAR, GPS and pedestal windows active (this needed to be done so that the proper
sequence of windows could be preserved.)  Simply close them with the simicons when the panel starts up to
get to the EICAS.  Also, on the pedestal, you will probably want to switch the MFD to EICAS2.

Nikolay Poriazov, whose overhead and pedestal bitmaps have been modified for
this panel.  These bitmaps are from his excellent FS2000 747 panel, which IMHO,
was the best you could get in FS2000.  Some of the gauges and layout of these
two panels are completely indebted to him, and I would have to honestly say
that I consider him to be the unofficial co-creator of this panel.
