FILE DESCRIPTION:

The first in a series of aircraft configuration and air files for the new B727-227 panel designed and built by Richard Probst. Files are specifically designed for the new Mike Stone GMax 727-200 models and simulate the flight dynamics of a Boeing 727-200 Advanced with 14,500 lbs JT8D-9 engines at 170,000 lbs MTOW. These files have taken 8-months to develop and ALL aspects of B727-200 flight modeling are faithfully reproduced. By default, the files are specific to the American Airlines B727-223, flight #1418 - an actual KDFW - KIAD 727-200 flight in early 2002. Simple editing of the aircraft configuration file will adapt this file set to any Mike Stone 727-200 livery. Smoke effects are automatically configured. The perfect compliment of flight dynamics for the new Richard Probst B727-227 panel. FREEWARE by Charles Fox.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

- Download and install any Mike Stone freeware GMax Boeing 727-200 model. I recommend the American Airlines texture file "amer_727_103187.zip" from Ed Knapp (added August 25th, 2002 / AVSIM). These files are by default for the American Airlines B727-223 and will require no further modification if you use an American model.

- Download and install the latest FSUIPC module update - version 2.891 or newer if you haven't already done so. Make sure the following items are checked with a check mark:

   - "Rudder Spike Removal" - checked
   - "Fix Control Acceleration" - checked

If you have problems finding FSUIPC, it can be downloaded directly from Peter Dowson's site:
http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

- Delete or move the existing "aircraft.cfg" file from the aircraft folder.

- Delete or move any existing file with the file extension "*.air".

- Unzip the "Rp727_CF1.zip" file to a temporary folder.

- Add the new "B727-200.air" file, and the 'aircraft.cfg" file from the "Rp727_CF1.zip" package to your American B727-200 aircraft folder.

- Your ready to enjoy realistic B727-200 flight dynamics!

NOTES:

I intend to distribute more flight dynamics files with differing weight configurations as I have the time to do them. These files will fit any Mike Stone GMax 727-200 model and can be easily modified for any airline livery. I do not recommend that FSEdit by used AT ANY TIME to modify or alter these files as FSEdit may corrupt the aircraft.cfg structure! If you must use FSEdit to modify the aircraft.cfg file, be sure to back up the aircraft.cfg file before you open in FSEdit. Additionally, I recommend that any modification to the aircraft.cfg file be done in a program such as MS Word to avoid corrupting the file.

The most realistic dynamics for the two hundredth 727 series. Recommended for all fans of 727, because 727 is now a question of dynamics is important. By Charles Fox for the special panel Richard Probst-a
