A-26B/C Invader by SOH Team Members for FS2004/FS9/ACoF INSTALLATION AUTOMATIC 1. Run the a26install.exe to automatically install the aircraft into FS9. In the Install process, you also have the option to install instead to a temporary folder or your non-default FS9 location. Just follow the simple directions for a manual install. 2. Sounds (1 .wav file), and 3 effects are automatically added to your system outside the a26_soh aircraft folder. INSTALLING TO A TEMPORARY FOLDER (Optional Technique) 1. Create a folder 2. Browse to the folder in the install process (with the ... button) 3. After the installer runs, open your temporary folder. 4. Copy paste the contents of the Effects folder to your FS9/Effects folder 5. Copy paste the contents of the Sound folder to your FS9/Sound folder 6. Open the aircraft folder and copy the a26_soh folder to your FS9/Aircraft folder. That's all! Douglas A-26 Invader

The Sim-Outhouse (SOH) is proud to announce the release of an historic model – a freeware model produced by a community of avid flight-simmers at www.sim-outhouse.com. Responding to a challenge to produce a highly-realistic model of the Douglas A-26 Invader, SOH members volunteered and took on assignments to produce gauges, textures, sounds, 3D components, flight model, etc. Other SOH members scoured their resources to provide photos, information, and even video recordings to help make the model the best they could. When the time came to test the model SOH members eagerly signed up to beta test and help work out the bugs. In total, nearly 100 people have contributed to this model in some way or another.
Package features
- Four variants: A-26B (solid nose) and A-26C (transparent nose), plus a gunless civilian version for each model
- Highly accurate and detailed exterior/interior, fully animated
- Three high-resolution texture sets for each model
- Realistic flight model
- Fully functional VC & 2D panel with custom gauges
- Authentic sounds made from recordings of a real A-26
- Built for FS2004, generally FSX compatible
- Auto-installer package or zipped package for manual installation
A paint kit is also available as a separate download. The model is available for download at SimOuthouse.
The Douglas A-26 Invader was designed as an attack bomber and served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Modified A-26’s have also served as fire-fighters and personnel/cargo transports.
