Excellent book! EA Kravchenko - the greatest pilot, a real hero! Read his book is interesting and fun, nothing more, virtually the entire history of Antarctic exploration by Soviet aircraft. Many interesting photographs in the book. Simmer all who love to fly at high latitudes - the book is required for reading. It's you or some kind of private pilot Ershov and his whining about recycling, ruined health and poverty-stricken salary / pension.

Well for You Ershov then? I think, in his books, he interesting and truthfully described the life of simple series of pilots, some thousands. Not all heroes. Someone just doing their daily work. And if you do not like, it is better to simply refrain from offensive speech.

FlyHigh wonder you're so pro Vasily! Apparently you have a view of his diaries? I agree with Kazachek-ohm, because they are primarily interested in their most truthful, as he describes his (and tens of thousands of ordinary pilots) life with its pros and cons, where some feats where a normal way of life in a very difficult time for GA time ... Reading them begin to understand the human lot, not only with regards to aviation. And do not ache, he thought so while many, many pilots. You should not so vain ...
