Flying the Yakovlev-40 Vol.1

INSTALLATION:

1. Extract two folders from this package "Flights" and "SCDS" to Microsoft Flight Simulator ROOT directory

2. Check the folder "FLIGHTS\SCDS\" of Microsoft Flight Simulator. You will the the file named "SCDS Yak-40 v1.4 YSSY-YLHI.PLN". Copy this file to your local folder "My Computer\My documents\Flight Simulator Files\"

3. Check the folder "SCDS\Flight Plans" of Microsoft Flight Simulator. You will see printable flight plans here. Print PDF or MS Excel version and have nearby during the flight.


USAGE:

1. Browse to folder: FS9\SCDS\e-Books\ and double click "Flying the Yakovlev-40 Vol.1.exe" (this will launch the digital album itself). Use links in the album the same way as you do on any web-site.

2. Start Microsoft Flight Simulator (if You have SCDS Yak-40 v 1.4 aircraft add-on installed) and use "SELECT FLIGHT" feature. You will find SCDS subdirectory here. Locate and select the flight "Yak-40 v1.4 Sydney-Lord Howe Island". (this will load Yak-40 on apron of YSSY where the story in the album begins) together with MSFS flight plan Sydney-Lord Howe Island.

3. We assume that you have already mastered startup procedures of Yak-40 v 1.4. Proceed with the startup. If you have a problems with that, download and read "Startup Training" from DOCUMENTATION section of Yak-40 web-site (http://www.east-intel.com/yak40). When ready, begin the flight in steps described in the album (use Alt-TAB to switch between the album and MSFS).
