FS2002 / FS2004 / FSX Military Scenery Objects

Inspired by the superior work of Michael Carr I have developed a small library of Ground Service Equipment.  These objects are mostly painted in the standard yellow drab you find at many military bases.  As with all my work the emphasis is on Frame-Rates and not microscopic reality so squint a little and pretend.  Some of these objects have been included in my earlier scenery releases and I now present the complete collection as a library for use with XML base scenery object placement programs like EZ_ Scenery from Abacus.  This v.2 update will:

1) Reduce the size of the models by an average of 25% and thus increase framerates.
    This was done by removing un needed polygons and redrawing some components and
    you should not notice any loss of detail.

2) Add 17 new models (pictured below) to the existing library



Installation:

1) Unzip the downloaded file and you will have these instructions, a JPG showing the included objects, and scenery+texture folders.

2) The library is designed to be accessible to most third party programs so should be
     placed where you place your other scenery object libraries.  Consult the instructions
    on your particular object placer program for proper installation.

3) For those of you upgrading from v.1 of these objects just overwrite the existing files.  As above, it is important not to have any other versions of this file in your scenery library or the objects may not display properly.

4) Also included is a sample .bgl file that will place all the objects in this library on the Apron at Trenton (CYTR) Ontario so you can see them .  Just place the file “sampler.bgl” in the same folder you place the libraries.  Don’t forget to remove the sampler file before flying! 

SPECIAL NOTE: Some of my previous scenery releases may contain abbreviated versions of this library.  This may prevent all the objects from displaying properly.  For best results you should run a quick file search of your Addon Scenery folder(s) and remove any previous versions of the file “GGSE.bgl”

       I'm not real big on custom instructions because everyone's computer is set up a little differently and if you are installing 3rd party scenery hopefully you already have a good idea what to do with these files // HOWEVER // if you do have questions or need some help I will be glad to do whatever I can.
