Electronic Performance Document can be used to determine airplane range and payload performance as well as calculate trip time and fuel for a given route.
The software uses two databeses an airplane database in which the relevant airplane parameters are stored and an airport database in which airport information like elevation is stored. The airport data will be used to determine the trip distance between two airports as well as the distance between the destination and the alternate airport.
After execution of the setup results are displayed and summerized in a mission report. The mission report can either be saved or printed.
During enter and execution airplane limitations are observed and a warning will be generated if a limit is exceeded.
User input data (setup) can be saved on a hard drive and loaded from a hard drive using the file menu. The extension is *.EPD.
