***************UPFRONT NOTES ON USE AFTER INSTALLATION:***************


1) THIS PACKAGE is full stand-alone and does NOT require any previous updates. In fact, it would be a good idea to illiminate any previous versions.
2) START IN COCKPIT VIEW, else if the lights are turned on, the wing mist shows with a stationary aircraft. Also, all XML gauges will be properly set.
3) SOME PANEL SOUNDS may be heard initially, but allow a few seconds for the panel to 'settle down'.

To Install:
-----------

1) Extract (in Winzip menu, Actions, Extract) the C26.zip file properly to your ...\FS2004\aircraft folder using WinZip.

2) You will then have a new folder  ...\FS2004\Aircraft\C26.

3) In the C26\additional_files folder find these files

	GaugeSound.dll			Move (cut and paste) to the main ...\FS2004 folder where fs9.exe resides.
	dsd_xml_sound.gau			Move (cut and paste) to the ...\FS2004\aircraft\C26\panel folder.
	FSUIPC.dll (freeware version)	Move (cut and paste) to the ...\FS2004\Modules folder. NOTE, if you have already have a registered version, DO NOT install this file.

	TrafficInfo.DLL			Move (cut and paste) to the ...\FS2004\Modules folder. NOTE, if your operating system is windows XP, you do NOT have to read this note. If not XP, read the radar C26 Radar Instructions text file.

4) In the C26\additional_Sound folder.

Move all the wav files to the main \FS2004\Sound folder. Over write any files from my other aircraft. The files are the same, they just use a different mix. If you get an error message on starting FS2004, then read ERRORS_MUST_READ.txt as it is probably a sound problem.

5) In the C26\effects folder.

Move all the fx files to the main \FS2004\effects folder.

Note 1. Make sure the c26gauge.cab file is in the ...\FS2004\aircraft\C26\panel folder, especially if the gauges don't show. The other xxxx.gau files you find in the panel folder remain there.

Note 2. This aircraft makes use of a moving sectional chart, British Isles only, and is included in this version.

Note 3. FSUIPC.dll is needed for my fuel dump gauge and for the panel sound GaugeSound.dll. It does not have to be a registered version. The AI radar gauge does not make use of FSUIPC.dll.

To Uninstall the complete aircraft, look in the zip file for file names and paths, and delete the files you wish to remove. Note. You may want to keep the FSUIPC.dll file in the .....FS2004\Modules folder.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO READ THIS THESE DAYS. If you already use FSUIPC and haven't updated it for a long time (months) you should probably remove your existing FSUIPC.INI file, found in that same folder, before running FS. If you remove FSUIPC.INI, this file will be automatically renewed the next time you start FS2002. This isn't usually necessary (and it isn't necessary now), but a number of entries in an older INI file are no longer relevant to FSUIPC and may lead to confusion later. By deleting the file you ensure that you start off with a clean default setup although previous custom settings will be lost. The option setting facilities in Version 3 are greatly improved over previous versions and you should have no difficulty in re-choosing your preferences. A recent version of FSUIPC.dll is required to allow operation of the fuel dump gauges and the version supplied will guarantee this.
